Ross Greenwood is a consultant specializing in rock mechanics with SRK Canada’s Mining and Geology Division. His undergraduate degree in geology was complemented by a Post Graduate Diploma in engineering geology, both completed at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Ross has worked in mining and civil consulting in New Zealand, Australia, and Canada since the completion of his university education in 2003. 

 

Ross has participated in geotechnical investigations in open pit iron ore environments throughout Western Australia, and served as site engineering geologist during the construction of twin road-header driven tunnels in Sydney, New South Wales. Since joining SRK in 2006 he has focused on rock mechanics, participating in numerous rock mass characterization programs, geotechnical data analyses, underground support review and design, and more recently numerical modeling.
