Senior AutoCAD Draftsperson - Vancouver
We are seeking a Senior Civil/GIS CAD Technician, based in our Vancouver office, to provide support to our GeoEnvironmental and Mining consulting teams. The primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of layouts, design drawings, details, sketches, maps and presentation diagrams utilizing multiple tools including AutoCAD Civil 3D (2011/2012), AutoCAD Map, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Microsoft Office 2010 and Adobe Acrobat
- Calculate and present bulk earthworks quantities, material take-offs and stage capacity curves, including spreadsheet post-processing as required
- Ability to post-process raw survey date into useable format
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree or equivalent certification from an accredited Drafting Program
- Prior experience in earthworks and mining will be an advantage
- High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2011/2012) with specific knowledge of grading objects, DTM creation, point management, profile and section creation
- Moderate to high proficiency in some or all of the following AutoCAD Map, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Microsoft Office 2010 and Adobe Acrobat
- Creative skills for creation of presentation materials utilizing ortho-rectified raster datasets
- Ability to remain task-oriented and meet project deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent oral and written English skills
The successful candidate will need to complete a PC based skills test successfully.
