Colleen has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and seismic analysis and design for infrastructure, landfill and mine-waste (tailings and waste rock storage facilities) and water retention dams. She has broad-based experience in earthquake engineering and seismic design including geologic-seismic hazard evaluations, fault studies, ground motion studies, static and seismic liquefaction analyses and mitigation design. Her more recent mine-related experience further includes PEA, PFS/FS and detailed design for large earthworks, surface water and groundwater controls; seepage and dewatering modelling and analyses, closure planning, cover design and related civil and geotechnical infrastructure (including foundation) design and geologic-seismic hazards assessment, including stability of native cut and earthen embankment slopes. She has further significant career experience in geotechnical engineering and foundation design for local infrastructure and commercial development projects. She routinely provides grading design for earthworks including design bid set drawing preparation, earthwork specifications, CQA plans, operating, maintenance, closure and risk management plans. She routinely provides design engineer and engineer of record (EOR) services as well as CQA management/oversight during geotechnical earthworks and mine waste facility construction. Her well-rounded background enables her to provide practical solutions to both complex and day-to-day issues related to geotechnical infrastructure and mine waste facility engineering.
