Jasper Begay

Jasper's experience includes geotechnical field investigations, heap leach design, closure and reclamation design and cost estimating, construction oversight, and mine and environmental permitting support. His geotechnical field experience includes drilling and test pit programs in Arizona and Mexico. He has been involved with copper, gold, and uranium heap leach design from conceptual to feasibility level and includes surface water hydrology analyses, surface water hydraulic structures selecting and sizing, and solution collection systems. 

Jasper’s experience related to closure and reclamation design and cost estimating is for current and end-of-mine configurations of tailings storage facilities, open pit, heap leach facilities, waste rock stockpiles, processing plants, landfills, infrastructure, and hazardous waste for numerous copper, silver, and gold operations in the US and Mexico. His construction oversight experience includes preparation of construction documents, construction support and field engineering, and preparation of record of construction documentation. He has been involved with multiple state and federal permitting including Aquifer Protection Permit applications and amendments, Mine Land Reclamation Plans, and Plan of Operations.
