Kevin Gunesch

Kevin’s experience spans many commodities including precious metals, base metals, coal, oil shale, limestone, industrial minerals, and aggregates both working directly for mining companies as well as an outside consultant. Most of his experience is in performing and managing economic assessments, optimization, resource and reserve estimations, geostatistics, geometallurgy, mine design, short and long-range planning, reclamation designs, grade control/reconciliation, project management, construction quality control and assurance. He has completed several due diligence assignments and served as an expert witness in mining industry arbitrations. He has managed construction-level designs for heap leach pads and tailings dams including experience executing hydrogeologic and geotechnical field programs.  Additionally, he has worked as a front-line shift supervisor, managed survey teams, laboratory quality control and assurance personnel, and engineering study teams. Mr. Gunesch has experience in construction and contract management serving both as construction engineer and construction manager ensuring construction met design, long-lead items were on schedule, safety/environmental policies were followed, and all contract and scope of work changes were properly documented. He has extensive experience in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and India. He is a registered professional engineer in Alabama and fulfils the definition of a Qualified Person in accordance with Canadian NI 43-101 standards.
