Stephen Taylor

Prior to joining SRK, Stephen spent 15 years working at a number of gold mining operations in Canada where he was involved in all aspects of underground mine engineering and gained valuable operational and capital project experience. This includes nine years in the Timmins camp where he was involved in design and operation of narrow vein gold mines. Stephen has held most positions in a typical underground mine engineering office up to chief engineer and has also worked as an underground miner and foreman. Stephen subsequently spent four years with Vale’s project management office where he acted as project engineer/project manager/construction manager for various design/build infrastructure projects prior to joining SRK in 2010. 

His consulting projects with SRK have included technical studies, technical assistance projects such as mine planning, drill and blast design, ore reserve estimation, mine rehabilitation, and due diligence reviews. 

He specializes in narrow vein mining and stays up to date through his work that takes him to mines around the world.
