Tom Jarman

Tom previously worked in the Australian coal exploration and mining sector, before obtaining an MSc in Hydrogeology (specialising in groundwater modelling) and joining the team at SRK. Tom’s area of hydrogeological expertise includes numerical simulations of mine water management and dewatering, depressurisation, groundwater resource assessments, and mining impact assessments. Tom is an experienced user of the MODFLOW numerical code and associated packages, to include the recent USG update, and frequently utilises and develops bespoke tools to enhance the capabilities of the numerical simulations and processing. He has experience with running and managing a large range of field programmes, to include constant rate and variable rate pumping tests, packer-testing, spinner flow-meter testing, ERT survey design and interpretation, VWP, and production well design and installation. Since joining SRK, Tom has worked on mining projects ranging from scoping studies to full operational support, on projects in Europe, Central Asia, Russia, South America, India, Australia, and Africa.
