Andres specializes in open pit geotechnical engineering, rock engineering investigation, slope design and 2D and 3D numerical modelling. He has experience in both soft and hard rock deposits as well as in interpretation of geotechnical datasets (drillhole, geophysics, and mapping). Andres has also been involved in projects with mine waste storage, including geotechnical assessment and safety analysis.
Andres has a strong interest in data science, radar monitoring analysis, photogrammetry, and integration between mine dewatering and geomechanics, focusing on data visualization. Andres has developed multidisciplinary projects and published papers internationally.
