Jonathan Gloyn-Jones

Jonathan is a structural geologist with extensive field-based experience and proven track record resolving geology, mining, geotechnical, resource and exploration challenges within structurally-complex precious and base metal deposits across a wide range of Proterozoic to Archaean terranes within South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, DRC, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Kazakhstan and Morocco. He holds an MSc in Structural and Economic Geology from Stellenbosch University, elucidating the structural controls on auriferous mineralization at Fairview Mine situated within the Barberton Greenstone Belt, South Africa.

He specializes in the advanced structural mapping, interpretation, characterization, and 3D implicit modelling of open-pit and underground mines and exploration projects with emphasis on how geological structures affect and are integrated into resource and geotechnical evaluation, targeting and mine-planning.  Additionally, he focusses on the structural interpretation of geophysical datasets, their integration into GIS compilations and use in mineral systems targeting.  He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed international publications and conference presentations.
