José Ignacio Riquelme

With an extensive experience at SRK, he has participated in numerous geotechnical engineering studies in conceptual, pre-feasibility, feasibility and detail stages. His experience includes conducting site and laboratory investigations, supervision of sonic and diamond drilling, supervision of test pits and geotechnical characterization of materials associated with mining processes.

Jose has participated in a variety of projects, including 2D and 3D stress-strain numerical modeling applied to high-altitude sterile landfills, gravel landfills, tailings deposits, and heap leach piles. As an advanced user of software such as FLAC3D, Plaxis, and RS2, he has contributed to soil mechanics projects, foundation design, and slope stability analysis."

In addition, Jose has specialized in numerical modeling of unsaturated flow in software such as SVFlux and Hydrus.
