Murray has worked on flood and stormwater assessments, river rehabilitation, and erosion protection studies as well as stormwater management and master planning including problem identification and remedial measures. Murray is skilled in the project management of water and civil engineering related projects specialising in the field of hydrology and hydraulics.

His expertise includes project management, contract documentation and administration, site monitoring, design and construction management of civil related infrastructure projects including water reticulation, sewage and stormwater networks, hydrological modelling for steady and unsteady flow conditions, floodlines and flood risk assessments, river rehabilitation and erosion protection measures, design and routing various attenuation facilities. This includes stormwater management systems, detailed design of stormwater control infrastructure, design and implementation of remediation measures, identification of Best Management Practice for the control of urban stormwater from industrial and commercial sites, design and implementation of various municipal infrastructure projects, design of civil related projects for mine and industrial residue deposits including tailings storage facilities, water balancing, and stormwater control features    for mining and industrial sites.
