With over 20 years of experience in applied hydrogeology and management, he specializes in providing strategic advice to clients regarding groundwater management and regulatory compliance. He effectively communicates technical concepts to non-technical audiences and has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement.

Stefan holds a Master's degree in hydrogeology from the University of Waterloo, a recognized leader in groundwater sciences. His expertise also includes project management, having successfully managed projects worth up to $2.1 million and overseeing a portfolio exceeding $6 million.

His technical project experience includes: regional- and local-scale hydrogeological conceptual model development; groundwater-surface water interactions; hydrogeology of mountainous terrains; hydrochemistry; effects of acid rock drainage; fate and transport of metals contamination in groundwater; tailings and waste rock hydrogeology; background and baseline groundwater assessments; aquifer hydraulic testing methods; in-situ and ex-situ groundwater remediation techniques; isotopic tracer fingerprinting; and, fractured bedrock hydrogeology.
