Mineral Resource estimation and modelling for the Ngualla REE Project
SRK Consulting (Australia) prepared Mineral Resource estimates and a resource model for Peak Resources’ Ngualla rare earth elements (REE) deposit, which is located in the Songwe region of Tanzania.
Elevated concentrations of REE, which include appreciable amounts of neodymium and praseodymium, are contained within the mineral bastnaesite that has been residually enriched by the weathering of the ferroan dolomite host rocks.
Peak commenced exploration activities in the Ngualla region in 2009, and the Mineral Resource model was used to support a recently completed updated Bankable Feasibility Study.
